Terms of Use
Welcome to iEducate.app ("iEducate")!
iEducate hereby establishes in these Terms of Use the conditions for using the website "https://ieducate.app/" and any other domains, applications, and technologies it owns.
By accessing the site, the User agrees to and fully accepts the conditions of these Terms of Use. It is therefore important that this document be read carefully.
Should you have any questions about these terms, please send us an email to: support@ieducate.app.
1. WHO DO THESE TERMS OF USE APPLY TO?
These terms of use apply to:
-
Users, subdivided into:
-
Teachers: all who register on iEducate's website, application, or any other platform for the purpose of using its Services. A "Free Teacher" is one who has joined the free plan ("iEducate Free"); and an "Advanced Teacher" is one who joins the advanced plan ("iEducate Premium").
-
Visitors: all who visit iEducate's websites, applications, or any other technology without having an account.
-
Support: iEducate's team of professionals dedicated to responding to demands presented by Users through the support channels available on its platforms.
2. WHAT DOES iEducate OFFER TEACHERS?
iEducate offers an online platform to assist Teachers in:
-
Creating, editing, and reviewing lesson plans, summaries, slide presentations, and, generally, any content that is useful to the Teacher's work;
-
Organizing and reviewing class content;
-
Preparing tests and exercise lists based on a question bank with comments and answer keys; and
-
Generally, improving their efficiency through artificial intelligence tools.
The Teacher has the option of subscribing to the "iEducate Free" or "iEducate Premium" plans. The word "Services" refers to both plans together.
iEducate Free: is the free and limited plan according to the credit system adopted by iEducate (EduCoins), made available for Teachers to join through registration. The total credits made available to the Free Teacher is at iEducate's sole discretion, which may increase or reduce it at its exclusive judgment.
iEducate Premium: is the unlimited plan made available for Teachers to join through registration and payment. It includes all functionalities of iEducate. This plan must be renewed periodically, under penalty of the Teacher being downgraded to the iEducate Free plan.
3. HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO iEducate's SERVICES?
To subscribe to iEducate's services, registration and payment are required.
To register, the Teacher must provide their name, email, telephone number, gender, type of institution they are associated with, and, eventually, the subject taught.
Payments may be made via Pix and Credit Card. At iEducate's sole discretion, iEducate Premium may restrict or expand the payment methods accepted for predetermined billing periods.
The Teacher acknowledges that the loss of access to the email used to register for the Services will also imply the loss of access to iEducate's Services. iEducate's Support does not have resources to assist in recovering the Teacher's personal email, or to change the email originally registered for use of the Services.
The information provided by the Teacher in their registration may be classified as "Personal Data" under the terms of art. 5, I of Law 13.709/18 (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
4. WHAT COMMITMENTS DOES THE TEACHER MAKE TO iEducate?
The Teacher commits to:
-
provide their truthful Personal Data according to the terms of the Privacy Policy;
-
take full responsibility for any content stored, published, or disclosed through iEducate's Services, releasing iEducate, its employees, and partners from any harm;
-
refrain from infringing copyrights of iEducate or third parties, patents, trademarks, distribution rights, or other intellectual property, publication, or privacy rights;
-
refrain from interfering with iEducate's operation, such as attempts at: (i) reverse engineering; (ii) access to source code or to the records of other Teachers; (iii) use of false identity for registration; (iv) modifications to the regular functioning of the platform; (v) among other practices that violate the rights of iEducate, of other Teachers, or of third parties;
-
review and approve any material produced by iEducate through Artificial Intelligence before providing it to their Students, since any content generated by Artificial Intelligence is at risk of "Hallucinations" (that is, containing incorrect, misleading, or completely fabricated answers).
-
take full responsibility for the lesson to be taught to their Students, including the material to be shared. iEducate is a platform to assist - not replace - Teachers.
-
keep payments up to date for the iEducate Premium Plan, under penalty of being downgraded to the iEducate Free Plan;
-
not remain inactive (without making any login) for more than 180 (one hundred and eighty) days on the iEducate Free Plan, under penalty of having their account canceled and all stored data deleted;
-
make exclusively individual, non-transferable, and non-commercial use of the Services offered by iEducate;
-
inform iEducate's Support by email at support@ieducate.app about any violations of these Terms of Use of which they become aware, as well as collaborate with internal investigations;
-
refrain from violating Brazilian law in force.
By "individual use" is meant the rule "one registration = one User", with the practice known as "account sharing" being prohibited. Unfortunately, this restriction is necessary to ensure the stability of our servers, the security of our Users' information, and the quality of our Services.
By "non-transferable use" is meant the impossibility of transferring information from one registration to another. Therefore, the loss of access to the email originally registered by the Teacher will imply the loss of access to all data and functionalities of their registration, including iEducate Premium benefits. iEducate does not have resources to assist the Teacher in recovering access to their email.
It will be considered "commercial use" for the purposes of these Terms of Use:
-
the use of the Services by a legal entity, including for-profit companies and other for-profit institutions, non-profit institutions, governmental bodies, and their agencies;
-
the sale, rental, or transfer to third parties by the Teacher of their account or access email to the Services;
-
the incorporation of iEducate's Services into third-party Products or Services;
-
the use of the Services at speed and frequency incompatible with individual and non-transferable use.
In the event of being downgraded from the iEducate Premium Plan to the iEducate Free Plan, the Teacher will lose all stored content, except for the most recently saved ones, up to the storage limit set for the iEducate Free Plan.
Any violation by the Teacher of their obligations may result in the suspension or cancellation of services, with no refund being due.
In cases of suspected violation of these Terms of Use, iEducate may temporarily suspend the Services to the Teacher until the situation is clarified.
5. WHAT ARE iEducate's COMMITMENTS TO ITS TEACHERS?
iEducate commits to:
-
preserve the right of Teachers to enter, access, and use the Services according to the plan of their choice, exclusively for individual, non-transferable, and non-commercial use;
-
employ its best efforts to ensure the stability of the Services provided, including through the adoption of security measures such as "rate limiting" and "CAPTCHA";
-
when possible, communicate to Teachers in advance about any system maintenance period or instability;
-
protect Users' Personal Data against any illegal use under the terms of its Privacy Policy;
-
inform Users about the start and end dates of promotions;
-
receive and evaluate any suggestions, criticisms, and requests from Users sent to the Support email support@ieducate.app.
By "rate limiting" is meant the imposition of a limit on the frequency with which someone can repeat actions within a given period of time.
This security measure is intended to protect our Users and the website from malicious activities, such as "data scraping", "brute force attacks", "denial of service attacks", among others that could render iEducate's Services unavailable.
The Teacher is aware that access to iEducate's Services depends on variables outside the company's control, such as the quality of their Internet connection and the capacity of the computer or mobile phone used for access. Both the device used and the Internet plan are the exclusive responsibility of the Teacher.
All Users must check the minimum technical specifications necessary for accessing iEducate's Services, specified at the end of these Terms of Use.
iEducate thanks all who make a little of their time available to help it improve its services.
iEducate does not endorse any opinion expressed by any User through its Services, these being the exclusive responsibility of their authors.
6. HOW DOES iEducate SELECT, CORRECT, AND COMMENT ON QUESTIONS?
iEducate's question bank is composed of questions taken from vestibular (university entrance exam) tests from across Brazil and original iEducate questions.
iEducate's original questions are created by its team or according to the standard required by the Teacher in real time.
iEducate's original questions, as well as the comments on solved questions, are the property of iEducate and may not be reproduced in any other media without its express authorization.
Any complaint or suggestion from Users about the questions must be written to support@ieducate.app.
7. WHAT IS iEducate's REFUND POLICY?
To cancel their iEducate Premium subscription, the Teacher must send an email to support@ieducate.app within the cooling-off period:
-
In Brazil: up to 7 (seven) calendar days after purchase.
-
Other Countries (via Paddle): up to 14 (fourteen) calendar days after purchase.
The difference between the periods for Brazil and abroad is justified by iEducate's regulatory obligations concerning the receipt of payments made in foreign currency.
If the request is made within the cooling-off period, the entirety of the payment made by the Teacher will be refunded.
No financial refund will be due for cancellation requests received after the established period.
